Have you ever written a blog post for two people? Yes, the vast resource of the internet that can draw hundreds or millions of people to look at one thing, and you purposefully write for TWO people on the entire planet?
Well, you should. Remember, it doesn't matter how big your blog, website, or Social Media is. If you do not put the effort in to purposefully connect with your readers, you won't grow the audience/fan base/customer base/readers that you need to succeed.
Anyways (get's off high-horse, dusts off pants), I've noticed a trend from small businesses and entrepreneur projects that's a bit alarming. By no fault of their own, businesses are creating official FB Pages (good) AND individual login accounts functioning under the same name as the business (red flag).
Some businesses are doing this as a form of anonymity, like Medical Cannabis companies, or Anon groups. But some are doing it because Facebook's muddled explanation of running business pages and groups.
So, here's some helpful info. You CAN run an official FB Page for your business, and have a "special" Facebook group for your favorite customers or local customers.
When you interact with a Facebook group, you can interact as an Individual, or you can interact as one of the official Pages LINKED to the group.
The screenshots below show how to LINK your group to your official FB page, and they also show how to interact with your group AS YOUR PAGE.
Note, you must be Admin of BOTH the FB Page and the Group you are trying to Link to.
Now, once you are operating your group AS YOUR FB PAGE, you can also add people to the group. Facebook is smart enough to pull data for both people who LIKE your FB Page AND personal friends.
