The Comments Contest...Last Few days.

Recap: For the months of Aug-Sept:  Comments Incentives Contest!  I'm gonna start small since I know I only have a few readers, and then work my way up.  From Aug. 15th to Sept. 15th,  if I get Five or More non-Anonymous Comments from New Readers, All commenters will be put in a random number generator for a prize.  The prize will be a mention on this blog, and a Super Secret Non-Lame Randomly Selected Vintage Item Prize from my Leftovers4Dinner Store (Valued at $5-$10)  on Etsy, along with some random new Shabby Chic/Vintage items I have picked up for the past month.  The winner can tell me if they are a "Crafty Person" or not, and that will help me better select something great to send you.

(It's late at night, not all of my pictures will be perfect!)

I've had plenty of time to relax the past couple of weeks, so I'm gonna be spending the next few days taking pictures and updating my Etsy stores and my eBay listings.  I've got quite a few cute little Shabby Chic items and just little oddities full of Retro Goodness...

Oh!  Almost forgot to share this with you.... I am 3/4 of the way done with the Noro Lace Shawl.

I tried to take a picture of it at night, and well, as vibrant as Noro is, it' don't glow in the dark, and my little Compact Fluorescent light bulbs do it no justice.  I give myself another week or so on the shawl before it's finished and blocked.  Then, I'll be posting a little review of the yarn, pattern, and how I feel about what I will call "The Sticky Situation of Noro Lace".... (dramatic enticement!!! Don't you wanna stay tuned now?)

Since it's starting to become Fall where I am, I think once I'm done with all that, I'll be starting to craft again.  I'm still mulling over how "difficult" my holiday party shaw will be, as I started swatching a shawl pattern and instantly frogged it/ripped it out.  I've been awfully finicky lately with the bigger/more elaborate projects, mostly because my time is precious, and I'm awfully slow, so maybe a few days of messing with Vintage Stuff and Antiques will help clear my head.

Now, to clear my head with some sleep!

Love that Noro Shawl!! Think I've commented before, so you don't HAVE to put my name in the hopper (but I AM a crafty person). :o)

Just started the Haruni shawl (free on Ravelry download) and am liking it a lot. You might take a look at that pattern...but go mess around with your other toys first.

Rofl! I just downloaded the Haruni Shawl, since I saw it was free on Ravelry (LOVE), and I'm gonna take a look at it later on today when I get off work.

I'm starting to get "hyped up" about the lace-ness of it all. And just in case, I'm also checking out this shawl:

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gathering-leaves

Which looks like intricate knitted lace, but it's actually Crochet.
