Vintage Gift Box Re-Purpose...Give and Re-Give...

All those gifts over the years that people get... pretty jewelry, a decent watch...a not so decent pair of earrings.  Eventually get tucked away in someone's jewelry box, or the night stand next to the bed...What happens to the boxes of those presents once they've been opened and treasured?

...I was in the Thrift Shop the other day and stumbled upon a big ol' bag of empty jewelry boxes.  I thought...well, that's weird, but kinda neat.

Then it hit me! I could use these boxes as a safe way to ship some of my tiny items I sell in my Etsy Shop!  Rather than risk shipping a fragile, vintage pair of earrings in a padded mailer and hoping for the best, I could at least put them in a box to ensure they get to their destination safe.  Eureka!

Great idea.  So I bought this big ol' bag of Jewelry, watch, etc... gift boxes.  Some of them were cool, but there were a few that were a little too shabby to share with customers.

So, I re-invented them!

Here's a little Youtube Video SlideShow of my Gift Box Upcycle Process:

Well, Thanks for reading, and maybe I inspired someone to re-purpose with a purpose!
