A Really Busy Day, and Type-Typey-Type-Type (Vintage Typewriter).

It's been such a hectic and Busy week, and I've barely had a moment to catch up, or respond to all the great comments on my blog, or even catch up with friends.

I mentioned it a while ago, but I contracted Lyme's Disease earlier this summer from a Tick bite, and it's been rather aggressive (won't go away) because I'm Immuno-Comprised (low immune system)  It still  acts up.  I had a few more symptoms that usual this week (Owie Owie Owie), but Life doesn't sit still for anyone.  So, I can't tell if it's been busier than normal, or if I'm just Crotchety, Grumpy, and Achy all week, Lol!

By the time I got home today, it was already super late, and I hate taking pictures at night....  I've got a great camera, but nothing simulates the brightness of Daytime inside my house, except a really nice Studio Light set, and let's face it, I won't be getting those anytime soon, unless I find them at the Thrift Shop.  I've heard I can do an Inexpensive Light Set with Reveal brand Light Bulbs, but I'm still researching that, so stay tuned!

I'll be taking pictures and catching up with everyone over the weekend, as well as sending out a big Thank YOU to a recent Lovely I received in the Mail today (Hint: You can find more of this lovely by clicking HERE).

In the meantime, Meet my Vintage TypeWriter!

So many of ya'll posted such sweet comments about my typewriter, even though he wasn't really featured, I decided to talk about him for a bit now!

"Made by Skilled Japanese Craftsmen to U.S.A. Specifications" - It's the Webster XL-747.  "Your Keys to Success in the 70's" !!!

This cute little guy came with all his documentation/manuals, and someone took really, really good care of him (though his case is a little beat up).  And whoever that someone was a long time ago, they even included a little piece of cardboard from the ink ribbon inside the Briefcase/Case (very Smart!) so if  I can, I can look up the original ink rollers and get Rockin'!

I plan on getting Rockin' anyways, and using this baby.... Just need to get a new ink ribbon.  I might go do some research online, or try a company called NuKote, they make replacement ink for everything under the sun.

I've been using it as a photography prop, as I heard it wasn't worth my while to try and sell him online, but I guess a lot of people dig them.  Despite what I see/hear on Antique Shows and Junk Shows, I guess there's a lot of you out there that do dig Vintage Typewriters?

Thanks guys!

I plan on waking up super early on Saturday, as I have tons of stuff to list for my Etsy Shop, and I also plan on having a Sale Again to move some older items out... Check out some of the Recent Additions:

Thanks for dropping by and joining in Favourite Things Friday.

What a fabulous old typewriter. I'm old enough to remember using a very similar typewriter in school pre the computer age. I suspect there are tons of people that collect vintage items like this.

Drop by again sometime. Lovely to meet you!

Hi there, I don't know about selling them on-line, but I have sold 2 typewriters in the past 2 months in my shop, including one like yours. I sold each for $15, no real big money, But I had gotten them for free anyway. Before selling them, I did use them as props. Just for your information. By the way, I am so glad that you liked my deer mirroe. I had too much fun in making it....way too much fun. Thank you.
