My New Photography Assistant! And part time Photography Prop.
Since it's raining, and I'm getting older, I slept in big time today. As soon as I woke up, I immediately starting taking photos, and trying to organize my enormous mess of photos and buggy templates I call a hard drive.
Some of the items I take pictures of seem to look a little bare after photographing them. So after looking around online, I've decided to use a few clever props. Photography Props appear to be a key point in the success of many Blogs and Etsy shops. Since I'm not a Pro, and I don't have a Studio's full size budget, I needed to be clever on what to spend extra money on in order to set my products apart from everyone else's items!
I'd like you to meet my first Photography prop, and new Assistant:
This charming little kitty is actually a plastic cap to a Vintage Avon perfume. He's a little aged, and he didn't come with the bottle, but he's so adorable with his defined fur and Inquisitive Look.
It's said that Curiosity killed the cat, but in this instance, I'm curious as to what the World Wide Web would name him?

If you've got a great name for my little Plastic Assistant, feel free to message me or leave a comment!
Thanks guys!

The best part of this little Photography Prop? He was 15 cents at a Rummage Sale! Yep, 15 cents for a super special touch to some very great photos. You can do the same, get creative! See a super ugly figurine at a the Dollar Store, or a chipped Painted Lady? Hang a Bracelet off it, or salvage an old curtain and use it as a back drop when taking photos of large items. Many of my doilies for my photos are my "First" Doilies, and obviously have some imperfection. However, as many of my photos are small, the mess ups are less obvious, or cropped out with an imaging application.
